One of the things I’m most nostalgic for at Christmas time is the now-defunct chain of department stores Hills.
Hills always had the very best selection of toys of any department store in my area, and going there before Christmas to point out things you wanted was just as good as circling items in the Sears Christmas Wish Books.
If you’re not familiar with the Hills chain of stores, the group of commercials in the video above does an excellent job of pointing out the variety of toys they had to offer. It was just hyperbole when they said “Hills is where the toys are.”
